Red Rover (2019-2021)
The go-kart is a gas frame modified into an electric vehicle. It drives autonomously, steering and throttle, after SageMaker training in an AWS RoboMaker environment. It was trained on a virtual track stitched together from drone photos. This was a personal solo project of Iz for most of high school.
It was presented at the Maker Faire 2019 and Amazon re:Invent 2019. The kart was also featured in an AWS Innovators video produced in 2021.
